My job is to help people have fun & feel good. I provide funky party music to help bars’ customers have FUN, dance, socialize, etc. I don't write set-lists because I constantly read the vibe of the crowd to see what they like and to figure out what song I should play next to keep them grooving. If they're "funkaholics" like me, then here's some James Brown, P-Funk, The Meters, Michael Jackson, Herbie Hancock, and my original funk jams. If they like hip hop, then I play my funky-jam versions of their favorite classics by Snoop, Biggie, Tupac, Jay-Z, 50 Cent, Nelly, etc. If they want rock, then here comes my funked-up versions of Led Zeppelin, The Rolling Stones, Black Sabbath, The Doors, The White Stripes, etc. Jam-band fans in the house? Here’s some funky Grateful Dead and Widespread Panic. Want some reggae grooves? Here's some Bob Marley, Steel Pulse, and my original reggae jams. Young kids at dinner gigs? They like Bruno Mars, Ed Sheeran, DNCE, etc. Actually, most of my shows combine all those kinds of music, but I’ll lean heavier towards a certain genre if the crowd is feeling it. But I don’t play any cover songs exactly like the original versions. I always put my own spin on it, and a lot of times I’ll play an original funk song of mine but then start singing a famous song over it and the crowd digs it because they didn’t see it coming. And finally, at mellow dinner or brunch gigs at fine restaurants, if people are engrossed in their conversations, sometimes I just play funky jazzy instrumental background music the whole time, and it works really well. But above all, my passion & specialty is PARTY MUSIC that gets crowds dancing. To book me, email me here.
